SoloRider's
single rider golf car was a part of the RE/MAX World Long Drive
[WLD] Championship in Mesquite, Nevada. RE/MAX is also a major sponsor
of Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation. Joey Bozik, a triple
amputee injured in Iraq, was awarded a scholarship by Sentinels
and was featured at the RE/MAX "Salute to the Troops"
Military Long Drive Championship. This was the first such event
in the prestigious long driving event.
Joey,
who owns two SoloRider single rider golf cars, hit the ceremonial
first ball of the military long drive contest, using one of his
cars. The crowd responded to Joey's drive down the middle of the
fairway with a standing ovation and called for him to hit a second
drive... Joey hit another one right down the middle!
Competitions
held during the year at 25 U S military installations determined
the top five who competed for the Military Long Drive title and
$10,000. Art Sellinger, WLD's chief executive said, "I am proud
to partner with the MWR". SoloRider is also proud to be a part
of the event and support the troops.
