Hi,
Roger.
I
agree wholeheartedly that the USGA should participate in making
golf less exclusionary for individuals with disabilities. To that
end, we have launched our Resource Center for Golfers with Disabilities.
This program will be overseen by the USGA Foundation and has the
support of the entire breadth of the golf industry. We are taking
a lead role in the upcoming Alliance meeting, an initiative which
will hopefully translate into getting individuals with disabilities
onto the golf course, not just hitting balls on a range. We are
likely going to give favorable consideration to a grant request
this summer which will also help increase active participation within
this community. And the list goes on, so stay tuned and stay in
touch. It should be exciting to watch this process evolve.
Best,
Trey"
